Helen Warburton has been horse-obsessed for as long as she can remember. Growing up in Chantilly, France, she watched racehorses train daily and fell in love with horses long before she ever touched one. After moving to the UK, she finally began riding at the age of seven and spent her childhood “begging, borrowing and stealing” any horse time she could — riding, helping with problem ponies, and learning from horses in every way possible.
That early passion grew into a lifelong vocation. Helen went on to complete a degree in Equine Science in the UK before moving to Holland, where she trained and competed in dressage and jumping. Eventually settling in Australia, her journey expanded again as she discovered a deep appreciation for cattle sports such as campdrafting and cutting — further shaping her understanding of feel, timing, and partnership.
With decades of hands-on experience across disciplines, Helen now works as a holistic equine coach, blending classical horsemanship, biomechanics, nervous system awareness, and intuitive feel. Her approach focuses on building harmony between horse and rider from the inside out — prioritising softness, clarity, emotional regulation, and trust over force or formula.
Helen believes that when riders learn to feel first, horses are free to move, respond, and thrive. Her coaching supports riders of all levels to deepen connection, improve communication, and develop confident, willing horses — both on the ground and under saddle.
At the heart of Helen’s work is a simple belief: when we truly listen to horses, they show us the way.
